MOVE WITH STYLE

ZUMBA FITNESS

How it Works:
Ditch the workout and join the party!  This fun and easy to follow cardio dance class combines high-energy and motivating Latin and International music with unique moves and combinations that make you feel like you are partying on the dance floor.  A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.


Medium to High Intensity/Perfect For:
Everybody and every body! Each Zumba® class is designed to bring people together to sweat it out! If you think you are uncoordinated, non-rhythmic, and convinced you have no dance moves, we can convince you otherwise.  Throw on your athletic shoes and meet us on the dance floor!

ZUMBA TONING

How It Works:
The challenge of adding resistance by using Zumba®Toning Sticks  (light weighted maracas), helps you focus on specific muscle groups, so you (and your muscles) stay engaged! 

High Intensity/Perfect For:
Those who want to party, but put extra emphasis on toning and sculpting to define those muscles! 

Music: 
Latin and International dance mix.

 

 MASALA BHANGRA

How It Works:
The Masala Bhangra Workout is an Indian-dance based fitness program designed for people of all ages and fitness levels who love to stay physically active through dance and want to learn about Indian culture. With the dance choreography direction influenced by the music and dance of modern Bhandra, Bollywood and Belly Dancing style, you'll love this easy to follow exhilarating form of cardio fitness, expression and dance!

Low to Medium Intensity/Perfect For:
Masala is for everybody.  No matter your age or physical conditioning, if you love to move freely and feel spicy yet want to keep the choreography easy-to-follow and fun, try this class.  This is the perfect introductory class to dance fitness as the moves focus on core strength, balance, and isolations done with an Indian flair.

Music: 
Indian folk music, bhangra,  and bellydancing mix.

 

Dance Jams

How It Works:
Great music and fun choreography wrapped up into an awesome workout that will leave you sweaty, smiling, and feeling like you learned some new moves.  Express yourself through funky dance movement broken down in easy-to-understand forms that's been designed for those with no prior dance experience. 

Medium to High Intensity/Perfect For:
People who want that nightclub feeling without the nightclub.  You'll get swept away by the high energy of today's hits and find yourself shaking it under our disco lights while laughing so much that you won't even realize how hard you've worked!

Music: 
Current Pop and  Hip-Hop mix.

YIN YOGA

How it Works:
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style where poses, or asanas, are held for longer periods of time to target the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.  You will leave class with a calm mind and an enlightened spirit.    

Low Intensity/Perfect For:
Anyone at any age or stage of life, in any physical condition.

Music:
Soulful, calming, and inspiring tunes.

 

HATHA YOGA

How it Works:
A traditional class that provides the foundation for other yoga classes.  Hatha yoga is a holistic path with focus on physical postures (asana), purification procedures, breathing and meditation. We will strengthen, stretch, and explore poses in a playful, yet relaxing environment. 

Low to Medium Intensity/Perfect For:
Beginners to intermediate yogis. 

Music:
Easy Listening tunes.

 

SLOW BURN YOGA

How it Works:

This completely guided class, which means no "flowing on your own", is a perfect bridge between longer holding postures (as is done in Yin or Hatha) to Vinyasa (where you move through posture sequences).  From slower progressive sequences, to longer holding postures, your entire body and mind are brought into balance in this focused, intense yet calming class. 

Medium Intensity/Perfect For:

Perfect for all levels and especially those ready to take their practice to the next level by incorporating Vinyasa but with the security of being guided through the process. 

Music:

Inspiring and emotional tunes mixed with acoustic tracks.

GENTLE FLOW YOGA

How it Works:
Like Hatha Yoga, Gentle Flow will focus on physical postures and breathing techniques, with an added benefit of "flowing" from one pose to the next. A relaxed paced class designed  for all ages, sizes and fitness levels. We gently open all the joints of the body, safely stretch the muscles and relax the mind. 

Medium Intensity/Perfect For: 

Anyone who enjoys a more gentle, slower paced vinyasa (movement between poses in yoga, typically accompanied by regulated breathing) class. 

Music: 
Easy listening with a soft mix of acoustic and organic songs.

POWER PILATES

How It Works:

This mat workout is based on techniques developed by Joseph Pilates which includes concentrated work on core strength, body alignment, and muscular balance.  Use weights, resistance bands, and fitness balls to increase intensity.  The overall goal of Pilates is to lengthen and tone the muscles of the core without adding bulk.

Medium Intensity/Perfect For:

Anyone looking to gain strength in their abs, burn fat, and sculpt your body.

PLIE' PILATES

How It Works:

Define and strengthen in this unique and challenging barre workout that targets your arms, abs, hips, butt, and thighs.  This intense fusion of Pilates, sculpting,and ballet-based exercises will change the way your body looks - longer, leaner, and stronger.

Fitness lovers who are looking to build long, lean muscles with ballet plies', tendus, and grand battements.

PUMPED UP KICKS

How It Works:

This fusion class of cardio-kickboxing and weight training will get you pumped up!  Alternate between boxing and martial arts choreographed cardio and targeted weight-lifting for arms, shoulders, back, and chest.

Fitness warriors who want to feel powerful, strong, and sexy.

Old school heavy and thrash metal for the furious.

 

BODY THRIVE CIRCUIT

How It Works:

This class combines alternating strength training and cardio intervals for an intense full body workout!  Come blast fat and build muscle with stations and a circuit that will hit all your muscle groups using many types of equipment including your own body weight for an amazing calorie torcher. With both muscular strength training and cardio built right in, this class will help you feel great, get a well-rounded workout, and help you reach your weight loss or maintenance goals.

High Intensity/Perfect For: 

Anyone looking to intensify their fitness level.  The moves can be modified to meet your needs whether you are just getting back into the swing of things or are a fitness power house.

CARDIO & CORE

How it Works:

An action-packed fusion workout that gets your heart-rate up to improve cardiovascular endurance and stamina (the cardio portion) along with exercises designed to tone and tighten the mid-section (the core portion).

Medium to High Intensity/Perfect For:

This all-levels class is perfect for everyone, especially those just getting into fitness as the cardio workout is only 30 minutes. 

Music:

Jam out to a fun playlist of Top 40 hits with a few surprises thrown in. 

 

 

SCULPT & SHRED

How it Works:
This one-hour cardiovascular strength-training class is designed to make you lean and defining providing a results-oriented whole body workout.  Build and sculpt muscles, strengthen your core, improve your strength and flexibility while burning fat and calories.  This class also helps to prevent osteoporosis while firing up your metabolism, helping you to lose weight and inches.

Medium to High Intensity/Perfect For:

Anyone looking to improve endurance while focusing on total body health.  Work out at your own pace; all fitness levels will be accommodated.

CARDIO DRUMMING

 

How it Works:
This is the one workout that really ROCKS! This full body cardio jam session combines light resistance training (utilizing weighted drum sticks) with constant simulated drumming. This all levels class torches those calories while toning up and rockin' out.

Low to High Intensity/Perfect For:
Whether you're a fitness newbie or long-time gym expert, you will jump, punch, twist, and kick through an awesome playlist of upbeat jams and find yourself re-energized and just plain happy.  Modifications provided to meet your fitness level.

Music: 
Shake your groove thing to retro pop hits from the '70's and '80's.

Equipment required:  65 cm. fitness ball, 17 gal. plastic tub, and a set of drumsticks. 

 

CYCLE

How it Works:

Feel like a kid again as you experience a full ride of hills, sprints and endurance intervals with energizing music and motivational instruction.  Spinning will enhance your speed, strength and stamina, improve your overall physical health and increase your caloric burn.  "Look Mom, no hands"

Low to High Intensity/Perfect For:

Indoor cycling provides a fun and challenging cardiovascular workout for all ages (over 16) & fitness levels.

Music:

Energizing music to get you up those hills!

Class is limited in size to the number of bikes.  Pre-registration is required on Mindbody.  If you must cancel your reservation, it must be done at least 4 hours prior to the start of class or there will be a $10 charge to your account.  

 

FIT BODY FUSION

How it Works:

This fun, and creative hybrid class mixes CROSSFIT and a BOOTCAMP style workout.  This hour class of high intensity cardio-vascular moves is designed to target all three energy systems of the body to boost metabolism.  You will gain strength, power, and speed in this challenging class.

Medium to High Intensity/Perfect For:

 X-Fusion is for people at every fitness level. If you can move, then you can improve.  Get ready to have fun, be challenged and feel your metabolism burn!

KICKBOXING

How it Works:
This class is a combination of cardio, boxing and martial arts providing a total body workout which aims to improve strength, aerobic fitness, speed, flexibility, coordination and balance.  Come try one of the most popular fitness trends and kick, jab, cross, hook and uppercut your way to a fitter you!

High Intensity/Perfect For:
This class is for the gym "rat" who wants to get down and dirty and blast those calories.  You'll feel ready to take on the World after this intense yet fun class.

Music: 
Hard-hitting heavy metal tunes.

 

TABATA

How it Works:

Dubbed "the 4 minute miracle" by some fitness enthusiasts, Tabata is high-intensity interval training (HIIT) system where you go as hard as you can for 20 seconds, followed by 10 seconds of rest and then you repeat that 7 more times.  Doing as little as 4 minutes (or one "Tabata") can increase your aerobic capacity, anaerobic capacity, VO2 max, resting metabolic rate, and can help you burn more fat (and make you look 200-percent leaner) than a traditional 60-minute aerobic workout. That's right—4 minutes of Tabata can get you better fitness gains than an entire hour of running on the treadmill.

High Intensity/Perfect For:

Those willing to endure a really tough workout as long as the results are there.  This one will have you sucking wind and seeing stars but all evidence points to its effectiveness.
